Engagement shoot! But Why?
Connect before your wedding day!
For most, your engagement session will be the first professional photo session you will have had as a couple before your wedding! Now that's sounds crazy hey!? An engagement session is a great way for us all to connect with each other before your wedding day and to really just have some fun.
It's important to feel comfortable around your photographer ... me.... so I can capture all those intimate, candid and in-between moments for you to treasure.
This is why I've been including engagement sessions for most of my most recent weddings - and I know without a doubt it is a MUST! Especially if you're shy of the camera. It's really great for the guys -they always feel much more comfortable on the day. I offer it for FREE in my top tier wedding photography collection!
How it works...
This is our process:
I. Book the date.
When you make an enquiry we will reply asap! We will organise a time to chat about your vision for the day and all things wedding. We only require a 25% deposit to secure your date!
II. Timeline Planning.
About 6 weeks before your wedding, we will send through a questionnaire for you to fill out and then we will set up a time to chat again and go through the run of day and draft a timeline so that everything goes smoothly.
III. The Big Day.
This is your time just soak up the day and enjoy! After your wedding, I will send through 10+ sneak peeks to share with family and friends!
IV. Deliver memories.
Over the next 8-10 weeks all your beautiful images will go through an editing and design process and your full gallery of images will be sent via an online gallery where you can download the high resolution images and /or creative film.

I get a lot of the same questions asked about their wedding day and how it all works so I have endeavoured to put them all in one place to have them all answered for you. If you have a question that is not answered please feel free to email me with your question.
FAQ
Who will be the actual photographer on the day?
I will be your photographer. I personally photograph each wedding. I only contract a different "team" photographer if I'm not available that day and you have agreed to allow a different photographer to capture your special day.
Will you hold a date while we decide?
Sorry, we are unable to hold a date without a non-refundable retainer. Our services are provided on a first-come, first serve basis and we generally have bookings a year in advance.
Are you a full-time photographer?
Yes. I am a full time photographer and I also do all the editing myself.
Can we give you a shot list of photos we want?
You can, but I don’t work off a shot list throughout the day. It really hampers my creativity and I would most probably miss important moments as we would be looking at the list all day instead of what is happening in front of us. I work very candidly throughout the day, so working off a list is not really our style.
But if there is a certain photo you want with someone or something special you want photographed, definitely let me know.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No you don't! When you receive your gallery you will be able to download your images and from there you can purchase prints of you would like to. The printing company that I use is based in Adelaide and they are a very high quality printing company well known among photographers.
How much time do we need for the bridal party/couple portraits?
Generally, I allow for 1 hour to 1.5 hours for the bridal party/ couple portraits.
Too little time and you risk not getting the sort of images that you see in my portfolio. Too much time means your guests will be waiting a long time for you and you will probably be totally over photos.
When will I get my images?
I usually have a 8-10 week turn around. So you will receive the full gallery anywhere between 8 to 10 weeks after your wedding day.
I will also send sneak peeks as a within 48 after the wedding.
What happens if Judy is sick on my wedding day?
I have only missed one wedding so far due to being sick with Covid, However, my associate photographer photographed the wedding.
In the event that this happens, I would arrange for another photographer with similar experience, style and ability to cover your event.
Do we get every single photo that you take on the day?
Almost! I just delete the test shots, blurred, bad exposure, people blinking, the double ups and basically all the crap shots.
Do you include the full resolution edited image in the package?
Yes absolutely! You will receive an online gallery of the full gallery of HD edited photos that you can download, you can even share these with your friends and family.
Do you edit all the photos we get?
Yes I do. Each photo is given tonal adjustments, exposure adjustments, areas are brightened & darkened. I usually add a certain amount of black & white photos that I think compliment the image.
I do not do digital effects that are not considered ‘darkroom techniques’, like removing objects, making people thinner, smoothing skin etc.
Can we tell you how we want the photos retouched?
Unfortunately the way I edit your photos is an artistic expression. The photos you see in portfolio are the style that you will receive.
Are you insured?
Yes absolutely! We are insured! If you need our certificate of insurance for show your wedding venue please let us know and we can send it through.
Can we meet with you to discuss our wedding?
